  • First development update in 2026

    Hello everybody, and welcome to 2026! I hope you had fantastic holidays. As mentioned in my last post of 2025, I took a few days off to celebrate the holidays with my family.

    Now I’m back at working on the native Sownloader iOS app. In todays blog post I want to give you a first glance at sharing video and audio from the app.

    I also did some improvements to the performance fetcher which now automatically hides the keyboard and clears the input field on focus.

    Sadly my vacation is ending today so I cannot spent as much time on the app now as I want. So don’t expect daily blog posts. I try to keep you updated once a week.

  • Introducing converting to Sownloader Web (BETA)

    I am pleased to announce that Sownloader Web is now able to download your songs as MP3 file as well. This feature was requested by many people and I finally found a solution to add it.

    Please keep in mind, downloading a song as MP3 takes much longer than usual. Depending on the filesize it can take up to a few minutes until the converting process has finished. Perhaps downloading as MP3 might not work for every performance. If you are facing any difficulties then feel free to send me an email with the performance link to support@sownloader.com

  • Sownloader 6.0.3 is now available!

    Hey everyone,

    Another update for Sownloader is available today. The focus in this update is to fix some ugly bugs which are blocking the best user experience. Furthermore, the new update helps us to make Sownloader even better because we have updated the sownloader.log functionality. Here is the full changelog:

    ~ Updated sownloader.log functionally
    ~ Webbrowser is now usable while downloading
    # Fixed an issue with the “Add” button
    # Fixed an issue which happens if you download two small songs
    # Sownloader won’t freeze anymore if converting crashes
