ABOUT ME

My name is Marvin Klein and I am the developer of Sownloader. In 2011 I discovered the Apps of Smule in the App Store. Unfortunately I can't sing, so I dedicated my passion to piano playing, which is why I am mainly active in the Magic Piano Community of Smule.

Then I had the idea to share my recordings on YouTube - with success. Today, my channel already has over 1.6 million views from all parts of the world. At that time the videos were recorded with very bad equipment, which is also reflected in the sound quality. So I came up with the idea to just use the original music I played in Magic Piano. The problem: there was no way to download them from Smule. This was the birth of Sownloader. The first version was released on 13th October 2014.

Programming has always been a passion of mine, so I've been working with internet tutorials on various programming languages for a long time. In 2017 I finally started an apprenticeship as an IT specialist in application development, which has already made itself clearly felt on this website and Sownloader.
Meanwhile I have reached a point where I am really proud of what I have achieved so far. Sownloader is used daily by several hundred people and the interest in my software is growing from month to month.

I develop Sownloader for free so that the experience with Smule apps is even better than before. I owe Smule a lot. Their apps and creativity had a decisive influence on the course of my life to date. Finally, I would like to thank all the people who have supported this project in various ways over the years, whether through donations, translations or by creating graphics for the project. Without you, Sownloader would never have become as popular as it is today!
