How can I save my song on my phone?
If you want to save your Smule recordings on your phone, that’s no problem. Sownloader works on both iOS and Android.
However, please note that to save files on Apple devices, you need to have at least iOS 13 installed. Integrated web browsers, such as the one inside the Facebook app, are not supported. Instead, use Safari or Google Chrome directly on your phone.
Is there a download limit per day?
No. You can download as many recordings from Smule as you want at any time.
Sownloader can't find a Performance-Url
There can be several reasons why Sownloader is unable to identify a performance.
1. The recording has not been rendered yet
Before a URL is available, Smule needs to process the performance first. To do this, open the performance once in your web browser and start playback by clicking on the player. As soon as processing is complete, try downloading the recording again.
2. The recording is set to private
Sownloader can only download Smule recordings that are not set to private. You can change the recording to Public directly in the Sing! Karaoke app and switch it back to Private after the download.
3. Server issues
Either Smule’s servers are currently unavailable, or our internal infrastructure is temporarily not available.
Can I download my Smule recording with a different filename?

Why should I download my recordings?
Many people do not realize that recordings of Smule are automatically deleted after one year if the user does not have a VIP account. But of course you still want to listen to your best recordings after one year. That's where Sownloader is involved. You can also use your recordings creatively and include them in your own videos or share them with friends and family.
So there are many reasons for saving your recordings. The most important reason, however, is that Smule can stop apps at any time. For example, it happened in the past with Glee Karaoke (the predecessor of Sing! Karaoke). All recordings from this app (except the best ones) have been lost.
Sownloader also allows you to quickly and easily back up additional information about the recordings. For example, the cover art is automatically downloaded for each recording of Smule. You can also add information about the song, artist and app to each song. This is especially useful if you want to import your songs to your Apple device using iTunes, as this data is interpreted and displayed in the music app.
